The RS247 (Remote Service 24-hours a day, 7-days a week) gateway system enables AMETEK Process Instruments to assume a pro-active service provider role that fosters a closer working relationship with customers. It also provides customers located around the world with direct access to our Service resources.

The RS247 gateway converts the RS-485 AMETEK protocol to an open system HSE (High-Speed Ethernet) protocol. The RS247 gateway can be set up on your Local Area Network and/or Wide Area Network allowing plant- or company-wide access to all of your Thermox IQ and Series 2000-based analyzers. Or you can choose to access the RS247 gateway system using the World Wide Web through your IT system or dial up network (local ISP) using a standard web browser such as MS Explorer or Netscape. The system can E-mail a primary, secondary and tertiary list when a system alarm or event occurs. It also provides trending, service and calibration history. Our next generation analyzers including our process mass spectrometers and next gen UV analyzers, have this capibility built-in, thus eliminating the need for a separate gateway device.

Our Analyzer Service Assistance Program (ASAP), per diem service contracts enable AMETEK Process Instruments to take a full proactive service role for the analyzers in your facility, allowing greater flexibility with your on-site resources.

This new service assures the highest level of reliability for analyzer measurements used to control your operations. The remote monitoring capability will allow you to view your processes to make sure you are always operating at peak efficiency that results in reduced costs and/or emissions.
