  • Mass Spectrometry Analyzer Operation and Maintenance +


    Includes theory of operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the AMETEK’s mass spectrometry suite of products – FlarePro, Application Process, and Residual Gas Analysis mass spectrometer analyzers for various applications. process analysis. Training and participation will present opportunities on troubleshooting problems with process and sampling issues that may affect the operation of analyzers. 

    • Mass spectrometer analyzer application and installation location

    • Understanding mass spectrometer analyzer operation and sampling

    • Sample system considerations

    • Plumbing and wiring specification and installation

    • Basic theory of mass spectrometry

    • Application overview

    • Operation and service of all mass spectrometry series analyzers

    • Routine maintenance


    Prerequisites
    : Working knowledge of, and a minimum of 6 months' experience with, ionization and mass separation spectrometry analyzer technology and process analysis

    Length: 4 days

    Price
    : $2,750 per student

    Time: Classes typically start 1 pm local time Monday and end at 12pm local time Friday
  • Oxygen and Combustibles Analyzer Operation and Maintenance +


    Includes operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AMETEK’s Thermox suite of products, including the WDG-V, WDG-HPII, and WDG-IV. Training and participation will present opportunities on troubleshooting, process, and sampling issues.  

    • Basic theory of oxygen and combustibles analysis and sensor technologies

    • Thermox products overview, process analyzer application, and installation location

    • Understanding process analyzer operation and sampling

    • Sample system considerations

    • Plumbing and wiring specification and installation

    • Operation, calibration, and routine maintenance of Thermox WDG-V, and WDG-IV series analyzers


    Prerequisites
    : Working knowledge of, and at least 6 months' experience with, oxygen and combustion analyzer technology and process analysis

    Length: 4 days

    Includes theory operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AMETEK tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) products. Products covered are the 5100, 5100HD, and 5100P. Training and participation will present opportunities on troubleshooting problems with process and sampling issues that may affect operation of analyzers.

    • Basic theory of tunable diode laser spectroscopy
